  • The Putnam County Transportation Committee was formed in 1988 by the County Commission and the Chamber of Commerce.
  • Staff is provided by the County Commission.
  • Members are comprised of anyone interested in the roadways of Putnam County. 
  • Meets bi-monthly at 8:30 a.m. on the last Monday of odd numbered months (beginning in January 2008) at the Putnam County Courthouse, second floor, old courtroom, 3389 Winfield Road, Winfield, WV. NOTE:  If the last Monday falls on a legal holiday, the meeting is re-scheduled for another Monday or canceled.
  • Responsible for identifying highway concerns in Putnam County.
  • Representatives from West Virginia Division of Highways, Regional Intergovernmental Council, Towns, contractors, and other organizations are in attendance to receive comments and answer questions from the public relating to Putnam County roadway issues.
  • Current projects are addressed in depth and include the current phase of the US35 relocation.
  • Anyone interested is welcome to attend and voice their concerns.
